Grover Browning and Brent Sweeny take on leadership roles for Internet2


Indiana University (IU) and Internet2 are drawing additional network expertise from the Global Research Network Operations Center to serve and advance the US research and education (R&E) networking community.

Grover Browning has been selected as senior director of network innovation for Internet2. As an assigned staff member from the Global Research Network Operations Center (GlobalNOC) at IU, he will continue to be located in Indianapolis. Browning was previously director of National LambdaRail Engineering and Operations. In his new position, he will help the Internet2 community continue to develop new ways to drive the future of networking.

Additionally, Brent Sweeny has been selected to take on the role of senior architect for telepresence for Internet2. Brent will bring considerable experience and leadership in global inter-domain telepresence to this role, overseeing technical engineering and architecture for the quickly growing set of services offered by Internet2 to the R&E telepresence community.
