Commercial Peering Service (CPS)

The Internet2 Commercial Peering Service (CPS) is a separate Layer-3 IP routing service provided over the Internet2 IP Backbone.    The Commercial Peering Service provides Internet2 Connectors with connectivity to commercial networks, such as Content Providers and ISPs, through the establishment of Settlement-Free Interconnects between these networks and Internet2's Commercial Peering Service. Internet2 maintains a CPS information page with more details on the service.

To connect to the service, Internet2 Connectors simply need to configure a second Ethernet VLAN and second BGP session on their existing Internet2 connection.    Internet2 NOC engineers will help Connectors work through the details of their local BGP configuration so the process goes smoothly and Connectors get the most benefit from the service.

See the FAQ and Documentation sections above for additional details about the service.
